Good morning everyone, this is Dewy Knickers on a very special day!!! Today my rounded assets are the star attraction at my friend’s great blog. Doug of Waking Ambrose has graciously allowed me to try my hand at defining a word of his choosing.

Manifest: The checklist of items needed to be a true lady of the evening. ;)

That’s not one of the definitions on his blog, his blog is PG-13 after all.

Manifest: The morning after in the harsh light of jail. Bail anyone?

Not I have ever been incarcerated, but these days it doesn’t seem like it takes much to be thrown away like rotten produce.

Manifest: The percentage of lies told is inverse to the amount of money at stake.

So today’s question is…..

“What is the best way to eat cheese?”

Good morning everyone! This is Dewy Knickers in the studio today with another very special guest on “Flashing Knickers With Dewy”. Please put your hands together for a member of The Fresh Knickers Club, our sister(s), Many Madds~Dewy’s multiple sister(s).

Welcome Madd!

Thank you Dewy for having me.

1. Your blog is called Maddspace. What is the genesis of your blog title?

Well my nickname all my life has been Mad, ok I’ll say it…my last name was Anger, so…Madelyn Anger, well you can imagine what fun the kids at school had with that…so I became Madanger all through school…so I decided to just go with it and made it my own…Madd. When I started my blog it was going to be my space, all for me, for us to be free thus…Maddspace.

2. What was the decisive factor in starting your blog?

I had just lost a long time job due to new management coming in, was in a bad place mentally…which is never good for any of us, so I needed a focus, my son who knows us well suggested bloging and so here we are..

3. You write poetry, do you a favorite style of poem?

I really can’t say that I do…when I write it just flows out and I put it on paper, sometimes I am not the one doing the writing when its poetry, I should say most times, the muse in me and writer of poetry and stories is one of my alter egos…lana, she writes most of the poetry and anything erotic, a lot of her poems and stories I can’t post with out a little fixing…as she tends to get rather graphic and very sexual. A few of our other writings can tend to be dark when someone wants to voice their opinion or feeling and get them out. I tend to write mostly political rants, stuff about what’s going on in the news or things that make a statement, go to the pages I added on my blog there you will see that these were written by me, mostly..:)

4. At this point in your life, what are your priorities?

Just getting thru each day and staying focused, it is hard for us if I don’t. Too much chaos is a very bad thing in our life and not having a 9-5 could be a problem so we are working on that, bloging has helped and my new projects will give me much more focus and somewhere to put all the energies running around in here..:)

5. Are you artistic and do you do any crafts?

Yes I am, have always been. I shifted away from that for the past few years and until I lost my job didn’t realize how much I had missed it. It’s as if I had pushed a big part of who I am down and now it is rising to the surface again…yes!! I am starting my jewelry making again, I do a lot of beading, not just jewelry but wedding gowns, hats, and objects etc, I do a lot with shells, I love working with them to create a one of a kind piece…I also design and custom decorate tee shirts, jeans jackets, etc. I also used to paint; my specialty was doing wall murals in private homes, business offices, etc

6. Are your crafts something which you plan on selling?

Yes I am working on that as well; my son, who is a tecnocrat is building me a storefront site called…Maddisims.com…that is where I will show, sell and take custom orders.

7. When you had your own business what made you stop?

I moved to FL and went in a different direction, which was needed at the time

8. Do you have any children?

Yes my wonderful son Scott whose Birthday was Oct. 14th, he is now 26. he is a treasure and has always been there for me, even as a child.
We also had another beautiful son…Andrew…however we lost him when he was only 3mos old. He was a beautiful gift to us for a very short while.

9. Are you involved in a relationship at this time?

Yes with my partner of 9yrs, Carol. She is my best friend, my lover, my (finally) life partner. I am the caregiver and head of the household so to speak, but she helps keep me, us, all together

10. What is the best part of your life right now?

The excitement of freedom, freedom to start a new chapter in my life and see where it takes me. The feeling of the creative juices flowing freely again

11. What is the worst part of your life right now?

Hah…that’s easy, change is not something we take well, sooo we have to deal with that feeling of uncertainty that we hate..!!

12. Your sisterhood name in Multiple Madds, why is that?

I have DID/PTS, without going into it too much, I was a foster child at a very, very young age, abused in ways that no one would even want to know about, for years, seemed like forever, so we coped, coped in the only way we knew how to. There are many of us living in this head we call Madd. It’s just the way it is for us, it is what is normal for us, it works for us. Yes we have had therapy, oh my have we had therapy..:) We have tried doing what the “experts” said we should…not gonna happen, makes it worse, what we have built works for us. The easiest way for me to explain is to ask you to go to maddspace and read the page titled… I Am, We are Survivors. That probably will explain it as good as anything I could say here. This is a subject that most of us with this disorder try all our lives to hide. Most people don’t believe that it is real; it is not possible and find it hard if not impossible to understand. My family knows and lives with this “condition” daily, they love all of us just as we are which for them and us..lol…can be very trying, very funny, very sad and sometimes very scary at times. …to say the least..:) So with this kind of support I decided to be more open about us, it is exhausting to always try and keep such a big secret, and I for one am so very tired of secrets, they are not healthy!! At any age!! I had decided that this space, maddspace, would be my safe space, free space to be myself. So I have posted writing that will express who we are, and as I say after I write one of my rants…this is my rant, my opinion, my delusion…so don’t read it if you don’t like it. That’s why I have maddspace…freedom to just be…just be all of who we are.

Thank you so much for coming to the studio today and sharing your soul with us. I know that I speak for all the sisterhood when I say that all of you combine to make a truely beautiful and giving soul and Dewy is very grateful that you have shared all of your sides with us today.

Dewy is still looking for someone to interview next week. Anybody? Miss 1999? Mysti? Ann? Let me know!!!!

Good morning everyone!! This is Dewy Knickers with another episode of “Flashing Knickers With Dewy”. For previous interviews, please check my sidebar. Today’s very special guest is No Solace~Dewy’s sarcastic sister. Solace Cai is an 18 year old college student from North Carolina and is very outspoken and frank about her life and desires.

{Warning!! This interview deals with sex and is done with the full consent and approval of Solace}

“Good morning Solace, and how are you doing today?”
“I am doing great Dewy, thank you so much for having me!” (((hugs)))
“You are most welcome, although I hear that someone else just had you!”
“That is so true Dewy! I just gave my virginity to someone I love two weekends ago. The emotions I am feeling are in a poem I wrote on my blog.”
“I also understand hummingbunny wrote a Haiku for your first time which you also posted?”
“Yes, he has been wonderful to me and is an amazing friend and writer.”
“Didn’t you also just put a name to the phenomenon you have always experienced in your life?”
“Yes, last Thursday’s poetry dealt with being a synaethete; that is seeing colors when I read, or tasting music.”

1. When you taste something new, how long before it is linked to another sense?

1.Do you mean like if I try a new food how long would it usually be until I taste that food with another sense or how long until I experience another sense when I taste that food? If it’s the first, it depends on how much I liked or disliked the food. The stronger my opinion on the food is the less time before I experience that taste linked to another sense. If you’re asking about the second part… it doesn’t work that way. I don’t experience other senses when I taste something.

2. When you see a new color for the first time, do you hear or feel anything different?

2.Most of the time the experience only goes one way, like I see colors sometimes when other senses are involved, but other senses aren’t involved when I see colors. For example, I see silver when I have sex, but seeing silver doesn’t make me want to have sex or think I am having sex… or experience the sex again. Does that make sense?

3. Listening to music, do you see or taste anything?

3.I don’t really ever see or taste things when I listen to music… I feel things. It’s hard to explain because some of the experiences are very REAL, some of them are all in my “mind’s eye.” Like there are certian songs I can’t listen to just because I feel a very real Physical pain when I hear those songs. Then there are other songs that I feel mentally, more like it’s really Solace who feels it and not me, something like the feel of laying on a fur rug or the warmth of a fire burning, those are the ones Solace feels.

4. You have just started having sex, what surprised you the most?

What surprised me the most about sex? That’s easy, the fact that’s it’s so damn addicting. Well, that and the fact that I don’t regret it, even with the crazy situation I’ve gotten myself into and that I see black when I orgasm as compared to silver when I have sex.

5.What area of study in college are you leaning towards?

5. So about Forensic Anthropology. It’s a pretty good field to get into right now, it seems that most of the big cities have realized that it’s pretty handy to have a anthro. on hand. The FBI employs a large number of them too. There is a lot of Crime Scene Investigation involved, but anthropologists deal with the bodies, remains of bodies, anything like that. It’s pretty cool. I like to get my hands dirty and i get bored with predictability, so forensic anthropology- where I don’t know what’s going to turn up next- seems to be a good choice for me. It takes something special to keep my attentiion of long periods of time, I’m impatient, and I want to see results immediately, that’s something I can get with forensics. Some people are freaked out to even think about handling cadavers, but I think it’s really awesome. It’s not the fact that they’re dead by any means, it’s the whole idea of maybe being able to give a family some closure on a loss or even having a hand in the “bad guy” getting caught.

6. Do you still live at home and do you live on a farm?

6. Yes I do and no, I don’t. We have a farm, sort of, but we don’t live on it. It’s actually over an hour away. We have cattle and hogs (at least part of the year) and they’re pretty self sufficient.

7. Do you play sports?

7. I’m not the sports kind of gal… but I do like to watch hockey every now and then. But like I said before… if sex counts… then I’m a sports fanatic now ;)

8. What type of hobbies or crafts do you do?

8. Hobbies and crafts… ahh, I’m a dabbler, I do a little of this and a little of that. I tried the whole jewlery making thing… just isn’t for me. I used to sell stuff made out of duct tape. I made a pretty little penny off of it too. I make clothing too. I do the design and everything. I actually made my prom dress for my senior prom, but after making it I lost about 10 pounds and it didn’t fit anymore.

9. Who is your favorite musical artist?

9. I really don’t have a favorite artist. I used to, but after a huge sellout of the band I just can’t stand them anymore. I love music of all kinds…except Rap. I HATE rap.

10. What type of creative writing do you enjoy the most?

10) Favorite type of creative writing? That just depends on which muse decides to grace me with her presence. If I had to choose though, I’d say things like “Abbadon” and “Creatures of the Night Take Wing”(something I wrote in November of 2004). Though some of the poetry, “Perfecting the Dragon” is really cool to write. There’s a huge challange in poetry like that. I think I argued with myself over a better animalistic representation of air for almost an hour that night. the dragon wasn’t even a dragon to begin with. It was originally a human. Those poems are always lots of fun to write.

11. What type of friends do you have?

11) I have a lot of different types of friends. It really just depends on what day you ask to who I’ll say my friends are. I tend to fluctuate between groups, I don’t really fit in any one spot. I’ve got friends that all we have in common is the music we listen to, friends that I don’t have anything in common with, friends that give good advice, friends that I wouldn’t take advice from if my life depended on it. And recently I have apparently developed a new type of friend (for me that is). A fuck-buddy… not that I intended for it to be that way…

12. Do you consider yourself an activist?

12) No, not really. I mean, there are some things I take a stand on, but not really an activist. I guess that’s kind of shoking really though considering how opinionated I am and my dislike for authority and corruption.

“Thank you Solace for your taking the time today to be in the studio with me and answering these questions.”

“No problem Dewy, I enjoy talking to you. Say hi to hummingbunny for me.”

Good morning everyone! This is Dewy Knickers here with another edition of “Flashing Knickers With Dewy”. Today’s very special guest is none other than, Icy Monika~Dewy’s royal sister. Some background on Monika, she is 29 and was born and raised in East Germany and has lived for the past 10 years in Iceland.

“Good morning Monika.”
“Morning Dewy, thanks for having me on your show.”
“No problem Monika, we royals need to stick together after all. I understand you have been busy wrangling sheep? How has that been going?”
“Well Dewy, it’s a smelly job, but if you want to eat good over the long, dark winters, you have to store up on food. And sheep can be food as well as wool.”

“So the topic we selected is what Monika does for fun?”

1. What do you like to do on weekends?

I like to think of myself as a fairly flexible lady. Depending on the weather I can be in or outside, enjoying myself equally. Inside on a rainy day with a book on a Saturday afternoon is just as thrilling as on the back of my favorite horse in the open space of the Icleandic countryside. Diversity is important to me and I enjoy having both quiet and pacing moments in life.

2. What type of reading material do you like?

Well Dewy…I can digest a lot of writing. Some more pleasurably than other stuff. I think I draw the line at Chemistry books though!

3. Are you crafty and if so what type of crafts do you enjoy?

Crafty, well I don’t like to admit it internationally but that half of my brain is slightly under developed. I can knit, stitch and crochet though and I do make my own Christmas cards every year. That sums it up!

4. Are you active physically in sports?

I used to play volleyball for quite some time until a year ago. I go swimming regularly and like to jog! But all in healthy moderation. I purchased a new gym card this morning, too!

5. Do you enjoy listening to live music or prefer recorded music?

Well…my childhood wasn’t all that easy and we never had much money. So I didn’t get a lot of opportunity to enjoy live music. In the last 10 years however I have been to classical concerts as much as possible, and I have seen the odd Icleandic band playing outside. But nothing major. I have a huge CD collection and I like it that way!

6. Are you an outdoor or an indoor person?

Both, but considering the Icelandic climate…if the weather allows I will be found outside!

7. Is travel as a tourist something you enjoy?

I love it. Travel, Culture and Languages are my passion and I seize every opportunity I can get to go somewhere new and experience the place. Nothing like it for me.

8. Do you like museums or prefer party clubs?

Museums rather. I don’t look it but I am shy by nature and clubs just never had any attractiveness for me. I call them meat-markets. I do enjoy meeting up with my friends and chat the night away in a coffee house somewhere.

Thank you so much Monika for stopping by the studio today and remember, any of you out there can be featured in an upcoming episode, just drop Dewy a line.

Good morning everyone on this beautiful weekend in September. This is Dewy here and I am exhausted. I have been on the go this week setting up my new Saturday show, “Flashing Knickers with Dewy“, and I have several interviews in the works. I would love to sit down with each of you and talk about whatever is on your mind. DewyKnickers Fan Club E-Mail

“Good morning! This is your hostess with the mostess rounded assets; Dewy Knickers. I would like to welcome a special guest today to the show; Flashy Pinky~Dewy’s designing sister.
*applause track as Flashy sashies onto the stage and sits down*

Hello Flashy. I am glad to see you despite you being a little sick. Are you feeling any better? Is your beautiful daughter any better?

Thanks Dewy for having me. You are the greatest blogger I know. *wipes noise* We are feeling much better thank you.

So, How did you start designing jewelry?

~~ I started last Christmas, designing bracelets for the women in my family. I have so many and I needed an inexpensive way to get them all presents. I bought $60.00 worth of glass beads and base metal clasps. It was a humble start. After basic designs, I started branching out, seeing what beads and wire would and wouldn’t do. I have piles of works in progress that are my early designs before the end product gets caught by the camera.

Did you study or take classes?

~~I haven’t taken any classes, although I have my eye on some metalsmithing in the near future. I have read quite a few books on wire work. Most everything else just pops into my head!

Is there a theme that you follow?

~~Uniqueness. I try to make each piece an individual and with a story. I put a small piece of me in every piece of jewelry that I make, I am unique and therefore my work is also.

What type of materials do you use?

~~As far as beads go, I like Czech glass the best. Any type of glass bead is pretty, it it’s own way. I love, love, love using real gemstones and pearls. I think it adds a little more to a piece. Sterling spacers and clasps are a must! No more base metal for me!! LOL. As far as wire, I use SoftFlex beading wire because it has a high strength test. I also work a LOT with silver, sterling silver, copper and I am venturing into gold as well. For simple projects, I use craft wire because I can get it in bulk, it’s easy to use and it’s less expensive, so I can make pieces for a wide variety of shoppers.

Where does your inspiration come from?

~~Everything! Really. Inspiration can be found every single day if you stop to take the time and see it. The colors of a sunset, the grass waving in the wind or even the bright neon of signs in the city. All of these things inspire me to create. I use a lot of my own emotions and experiences as well. I have several pieces that are a biography of my life.

How do you market your creations?

~~Currently, I blog, email, I have a catalog, business cards and I’ve got some postcards going out, too. Word of mouth is still the best mode of marketing. Every person that is happy with my work is a testimonial to my craft. I am my own marketing tool, so I wear my creations every day.

Is there a designer you pattern yourself after?

~~None that I can think of. I flip through magazines to see trends, but there isn’t one designer that has shaped my style.

What do you hope this business will do for you?

~~Well, of course I would love to be famous! Pinky WorldWide!! Aside from that, it’s already doing something for me. I am getting to stay at home with my daughter, I am getting to create, design and be free with ideas, and I am making people happy. That is quite a lot in a short amount of time.

Any final notes you would like to say?

~~Last note: I truly enjoy what I do. I love to design a piece of jewelry in my head, then move it around until I know how to create it with my hands. I love the whole process: idea, design, production and final product. It’s satisfying, rewarding and keeps me challenged to learn more and create more. Thanks for doing this with me, Dewy. I hope you have gotten a better look at the woman behind the curtain. Hugs and Kisses!!

Thank you so much for coming here today Flashy. *hugs to standing ovation from audience* Please go visitFlashy’s Store. Tell her Dewy sent you and she will give you a *smack*. ;)

DK xo

P.S. In case you haven’t answered the fruit question from yesterday, please do do now.
